Regional
Business Community Sets Strategic Public Policy Goals for
2007
The Temecula
Valley, Murrieta and Lake Elsinore Valley chambers of
commerce
set their advocacy priorities and highlights three major
strategic initiatives each year.
The
strategic initiatives for 2007, Proactive on Regional
Issues, Coalition Building, and Partnering with Legislators
will guide their regional effort in representing the
interests of business community with government.
”Our focused effort locally, regionally and statewide
provides a tangible return on our member’s investment,”
stated Dennis
Frank, Chair of the Southwest California Legislative Council
(SWCLC).
“Our pragmatic approach to
working with other organizations within the region to
strength our partnership with elected officials on issues
impacting our business community will ensure our businesses
will thrive,” Frank continued.
The SWCLC's effort to be proactive on regional issues
ensures that the business community is represented on
important legislation and other issues that have an impact
on businesses within the region. The SWCLC has also created
numerous partnerships with other regional organizations in
an effort to maximize the grassroots effort on important
legislation. Finally, a commitment to partnering with local
legislators secures the needed support to stop anti-business
and support pro-business legislation in the state capitol.
”The support of our local legislators is key to protecting
the interests of our businesses and securing a strong local
economy where our citizens live and work,” stated Frank.
“Our number one priority is to make sure our businesses have
the stability to protect our unique quality of life here in
Southwest California,” continued Frank.
