Southwest California Businesses Call On Region For Support

The Temecula Valley, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore Valley Chambers of Commerce through its regional coalition, the Southwest California Legislative Council, is asking for organizations and businesses throughout Southwest California to support signing onto a letter addressed to the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus.

The Inland Empire Caucus is made up of various legislators from both sides of the aisle throughout the Southwest California region.

The Inland Empire Legislative Caucus has met in recent months, but has had troubled meeting in the past. Orange and San Diego Counties have similar groups with regular meetings and a strong working relationship. SWCLC believes our community will benefit from elected officials throughout our geographic region working together and meeting on a regular basis.

We are asking for the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus to continue to meet and send meeting agendas to those Chambers and businesses who sign onto our letter. Together, we can strengthen our efforts to make sure our region has a fair representation.

SUBJECT: Meeting Schedule and Notice of Agenda for the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus

Honorable Elected Officials:

The Southwest California Legislative Council (SWCLC) along with other organizations within the Southwest California region would like to thank you for your dedicated work and for meeting.  Your work has not gone unrecognized and we commend you on representing the region on important legislative issues.

Attached to this letter you will find similar organizations throughout the Southwest California region that believe it is in the best interest that the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus continues to meet, as the San Diego and Orange County delegations have been.  We are also requesting at this time that we and the attached organizations be added to your agenda list so we may help facilitate the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus’ decisions regarding issues for our region.

We and the attached organizations believe in the importance of the Inland Empire Legislative Caucus and we are here to assist in any manner you may see fit.  We believe, together, we can make an impact at the capitol with a coordinated effort on important legislative issues when you vote in Sacramento.

Thank you for coming to a resolution since our original letter and look forward to a productive legislative session.

Sincerely,

Dennis Frank

Chair

Southwest California Legislative Council

Regional Businesses Support Inland Empire Caucus In Order To Maintain Competitiveness

The Inland Empire Caucus is made up of various legislators from both sides of the aisle throughout the Southwest California region. Orange and San Diego Counties have similar groups with regular meetings and a strong working relationship. The Southwest California Legislative Council believes our community will benefit from elected officials throughout our geographic region working together.

“We are committed to ensuring that the Lake Elsinore Valley business community has fair representation through its legislators by meeting and discussing possible business related issues with the hopes of bipartisanship support of those issues,” stated Dennis Frank, Chair of the SWCLC.

The SWCLC urges the Caucus to keep meeting in order to stay competitive with other area Caucus’ and legislators at the capitol. The Chamber will also work with other area chambers and similar organizations to help influence the Inland Empire Caucus to take on business related issues.

The Inland Empire Caucus should be a strong advocate for the business community to pass pro-business legislation at the capitol. “The only way this can happen is with the Inland Empire Caucus continuing to meet on a regular basis,” concluded Frank.
